Regex Escaping

I created #1439 initially to use the RegExp.escape fn but later to use a polyfill due to it being too new - butttt then it took down prod #2403. We should try again

Any working theory for what caused the issue?

It seems that the only other jsr dependency is @deno/doc which has a deno.json, whereas the polyfill package has a deno.jsonc. Could that be the reason? (I'm still pretty unfamiliar with deno, unfortunately)

We can probably wait until it is Baseline Widely available. What do you think?
